Using the game

One Quiet Tree is a free browser game provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You may play it, link to it, and share screenshots or descriptions of your season. You do not need an account.

The site is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. If you are under the age required to consent to online services where you live, use the site with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the site for personal play. This licence does not give you ownership of the game, its artwork, its text, or its code.

Saves and availability

Progress is stored only in your browser. We cannot recover a save that was deleted, blocked by browser settings, lost when site data was cleared, or overwritten by a new season. Free Growth and The Long Season may keep separate saves; starting a new story can replace the previous one after confirmation.

The game is provided as-is and may change. Features may be added, altered, or removed, and the site may be unavailable for maintenance or hosting reasons. There is no paid content, subscription, or promise of permanent availability.

Fair use

You agree not to:

• interfere with the site, attempt to bypass security controls, or use automated tools to overload it;
• copy, republish, or sell substantial portions of the game, artwork, text, or code without permission;
• use the site to break the law or infringe the rights of others;
• misrepresent the game as your own work or imply an endorsement that does not exist.

Reasonable quoting and linking for commentary, reviews, or education are welcome, provided the source is clear and the use is not substantial reproduction.

Ownership

The game’s visual identity, writing, code, interface, sound, and original assets are the property of their creator and are protected by applicable copyright and other laws. The names “One Quiet Tree” and its distinctive visual elements are part of the project’s identity.

Third-party libraries and services remain subject to their own licences and terms. Nothing on this site grants you a right to use third-party trademarks or content beyond what those terms allow.

Advertising and external links

Written pages may show clearly labelled ads, as described in the privacy note. Ads are supplied by third parties; their content and practices are not endorsed by this project. External links are provided for convenience, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them. The game itself does not contain ads.

Disclaimer and limitation

The game is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, no warranties are made about uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from errors. Nothing in the game is botanical, agricultural, medical, or financial advice; it is a fictional tree.

To the extent permitted by law, the project’s operator will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or affects your mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

Changes to the terms

These terms may be updated as the site changes. The effective date at the top will show the current version. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. The terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s place of residence, without removing protections you have under mandatory local law.
